Winter Weather Warning

We have a snowfall warning in effect, expecting anywhere from 15 to 35 cm of snow, with high winds as well. The majority of this will happen tomorrow, although the snow has started already.

Normally weather like this doesn't affect most people, but here bad weather can cause problems.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that we don't lose our power or internet connection (which we can lose during bad weather).

If you are expecting to hear from us and you don't, we are probably out of service.

One more thing that will cause further delays on your order.

Wed AM Update: Storm has arrived and so far we still have power and internet. Forecast is wind whipped snow, 4-8"; winds gusting past 80 kph this afternoon, and repeat tonight.

Christmas Holiday Deadline Reminder

To ensure your order arrives before Christmas, please be sure to complete our order process by the evening of Saturday, December 5th. The order process includes your reply to our Order Confirmation email. This will ensure that we will have time to prepare and package your order for Monday's outgoing mail.

If you order past this date, it still may arrive in time, but we CANNOT guarantee it.

It is difficult most times to estimate the arrival time of mail as transit times vary with delays in postal service or any custom or border delays. When we add on the increase in holiday mail volume, it makes it even more unpredictable.

Winter has arrived full time...

We haven't had a lot of snow, but it's been slowly adding up over the last few days, a few days of flurries and now we are into snow, and it is a wet and heavy snow.

We've had one short power outage, and today we just lost our high speed cable. this is so typical here. I've been struggling with trying to operate on dial up * sigh * and will probably lose that shortly too.

But at least the snow makes it look pretty out! :-)

If you don't hear from us for awhile, not to worry, our server is usually pretty good at restoring service.

Do you have a Yahoo email address?

Every so often we have trouble getting through to our customers who have a Yahoo email address.

It appears it is that time again.

I am not sure if these emails are just not delivered by Yahoo or suddenly most incoming emails end up in a spam folder.

If you have a Yahoo email address and have not heard from us, either looking for our Order Confirmation email or a reply to your inquiry, be sure to check your spam folder, and if our email is not there, contact us back again.

Power outage to start the week

We had our first "real" snow yesterday, and it was a heavy, wet snow. By real snow I mean snow that stayed on the ground :-)

We woke up this morning to no power (it was probably tree branches falling on power lines).

We just got our power back on now, so we are a little behind today ... what a great way to start the week!

I've downloaded our orders and emails, and will be processing them all shortly.
