With the threat of a postal strike hanging over our heads, we decided that May 17th would be our last day of putting parcels into the mail system.
By doing so, we are hoping that Canada Post can manage to at least get our parcels to the border prior to the possible strike date (they will be in a strike position on May 25).
News is sparse and not very reliable, with posturing on both sides of the table, factual news is difficult to establish.
If there is not a strike next week we will have to decide on the quality of their service as I am sure there will be continued work slowdowns (which we are currently experiencing).
We will not let Canada Post jeopardize our business or disappoint our customers, and will only start shipping once we are comfortable with the postal service standards.
